Project Overview

Developed an ASP.NET-based remote application installer to automate software deployments and IT support tasks, significantly reducing resolution times.

While working as an IT Support Technologist at Micron Technology, I identified a major inefficiency in software installation requests. Previously, IT support had to coordinate with users, remotely access their devices, and manually install applications—a process taking 30 minutes to an hour per request. To solve this, I created **1SOL (One Solution)**, a web-based tool built with **ASP.NET MVC** that leveraged **PowerShell scripts** to execute remote software installations using the user's **device hostname**. The system allowed IT support to: - Search for an application, input the user's hostname, and click "Install." - Execute predefined PowerShell scripts remotely, with real-time status updates displayed on the web interface. - Reduce software installation times from **30+ minutes to under 5 minutes**.

As I expanded the project, I integrated additional PowerShell-based automation, including **file renaming, cache clearing, and other IT maintenance scripts**—further improving efficiency.

Later, I added an **On-Call IT Manager Lookup** feature to help IT support quickly find escalation contacts based on shift, department, and site information from an internal Micron database. Previously, locating the on-call manager took over **10 minutes**, but with this enhancement, it took just seconds.

The project significantly improved IT support efficiency.
